In addition, “HDD Smart Protection” gives you peace of mind by preventing any recorded video and images from being lost if the camcorder is accidentally dropped.

Extremely good for its class5
Im a student film maker and was looking for a cheap camera just to get me going. If you want an amazing camera you cant really expect to pay less than 600 bucks, but i took the risk and im proud I did. This camera is a standard class of video, but it excels beyond the class and could even be compared to cameras of 100 to 200 dollars more.

-Out of the box the camera lacks some color to it, however if you adjust the settings things look great. Its NOT HD, but the quality is still fantastic for some reason. It does lack some saturation to some colors (greens and somewhat blues) but its all adjustable to an extent. I kinda wish it had that “film” effect that some Cannon cameras offer so i dont have to add it in via Sony Vegas, but im happy with the resolution it has now.

-The zoom is absolutely out of this world. I was just screwing around with it and decided ill look down and zoom in on my shoe laces. I could literlly see grains of dirt all over my shoe lace, my shoes are completely clean to the naked eye. I was also zooming in on letters in long distances and was completely able to read everything clearly. The zoom does get a little pixelated when you put it on a TV (i have a Samsung HDTV) if you go too far or move around alot. However the stabability of the camera is phenominal, normally a zoomed in shot would be real shaky and un watchable, not with this camera.

-Like i said im a film maker, but i prefer to use the screen. I was using it outside and its not bad at all, you can put a screen of it or you hand or something and see clearly. The camera is TINY! I couldnt believe it was so small, fit in the palm of my hand without a problem.

-Sound is pretty good. When im filming its completely quiet all around me so i can hear the people talking and what not just fine. It sadly has no option for an external mic though. Its a CLEAR mic that will pick up alot of noise though, wind blowing or something. The Directional Mic that it has does a pretty good job of cutting out some back noise, but id still love for it to have an external mic.

-The cool thing for film makers like myself, is its a extremely good intro camera that you can afford. Not only that but Sony offers a TON of accesories for it. Wide Shot lenses, Camera saturation covers, underwater casing, external lights, and things of that nature. I thought that was extremely neat and bought the lenses myself.

-I forget the file it records in, but it uses the file so that it can burn directly to DVD. The feature is neat if you have a DVD burner for it (about 100 bucks) but you need to convert the file on your computer if you want to edit it. Its all good though, and if you have a good program you wont lose alot of quality.

-The built in HDD is amazing, so much space i couldnt believe it. Not only that but the memory cards it uses are the same as the PSP, they are cheap as heck. So you could add over another 16GB to it with a single card. One reason i bought this camera over its competitior is purely the fact that it uses a hard drive and not just memory cards, trust me its alot cheaper and alot cleaner.

-How the camera runs is great. Flip the flap open and bam its on within seconds, push record and its almost instant. It also has a built in lense protector, so press the switch and it shuts or opens, the camera will also warn you if its close obviously. The touch screen is impressive, i was expecting a delay or inaccurate intereactions but it worked well. Its nice not having a wall of buttons on the side of the camera for you to accidently push while recording.

The bad things i can think of. It has no external mic option, however you can buy Lepel mics and just match up the audio if you wanted. The battery it comes with kinda sucks, only lasts 90 minutes and even less if your filming in the best quality. The single shot pictures are not the greatest, can get a little grainy, but you dont buy a camcorder for that. Its not HD, while i wish it was, you have to buy some of the newer models for 500 to 600 if you want HD and i cant afford that right now, the quality is still amazing though.

I tried to touch upon everything here if nnot ill try to update as I come across things. So far im extremely happy with my purchase. I love Sony products as its usually quality and this camera is no exception, if anything its advertising the other cameras they sell that ill probably end up buying in the future. Right now though this is what I could afford and to me it seems like i got a 500 to 600 dollar camera for 300 and thats not a bad deal in my books.

Good Camcorder for the Price5
Easy camera to use, does exactly what it is supposed to do. In anticipation of my daughter’s dance recital, we purchased this camera at a local electronics store just before the recital. I was hoping that getting it up and running would not be too difficult given the short amount of time I had to familiarize myself with it. Upon arriving home, I had it unboxed, and the battery charging while I changed and got ready for the recital. Once at the recital, I opened the viewfinder, it came on, and I was able to start recording without first reading the manual. During the intermission, my wife and I marveled at how small the camera actually is, and how it felt natural in both mine (large) and her (small) hands; it was also lightweight with just enough heft.

Before the purchase, I had read online reviews here and elsewhere claiming that when the camera was connected to a TV, the video quality was less-than-acceptable. I did not find this to be the case. Back at home after the recital, we were anxious to show the performance to some neighbors. We have a 43″ high-def plasma, and the video quality looked like normal “standard definition” when played on a “high definition” TV. That is, it was not crystal clear, but it looked how any normal standard definition video should look. Having said this, if you want crystal clarity when played on your high-def TV, consider purchasing the high-def camcorder. Hooking the camera up to the TV was easy, as was connecting it to our computer, which runs Windows XP Professional. I had to update XP to Service Pack 3 in order for the included software to be installed, but once installed, it was able to pull the video from the camcorder to the computer without fuss and was able to immediately start editing and such.

Given my brief experience with the camera, I give it 5 stars. It records movies/audio very well, the picture looks fine on both the TV and computer, and the software allows organizing and editing (only minor editing, albeit) of videos and still photos. All things considered, I am happy with this camera.

Great camcorder4
I bought this camcorder based on the better zoom compared to others in its price range. I was able to start recording with this camcorder right out of the box. It is very simple to setup and quick review of the manual will answer all your questions. I have not used the software but was able to use the USB cable to transfer the video to my computer in a matter of minutes. The sound was fantastic and the video looked better than expected. Overall this is a great camcorder, easy to use, easy to setup. I would recommend one extra battery as the one that comes with it last 90 min.

With the release of Herc and Xena to DVD, I am gladly collecting them. Xena seems like a slight more serious and darker expose than Herc, so I like it more, despite the fact that I’m a guy. But anyway, so I sit there and glance Herc or Xena and I remember that there’s this other prove that’s somewhat similar in nature (no pun intended) to both Herc and Xena…and that’s Beastmaster.

Beastmaster…I remember unbiased checking out this series from time to time when it originally aired. Saw it on the episode guide of DISH Network and would tune in objective to sight if I could derive into it. Unfortunately I couldn’t. I found Tao to be bit annoying and quite frankly funny. So I never watched. But like I said, after watching my Herc and Xena DVDs, I decided that I wanted more and decided to give this Beastmaster a try on DVD. I can say happily that it was NOT a mistake. This series is astronomical (when seen from the beginning) . I guess my quandary was unprejudiced seeing a few scenes from Season 3 I reflect.

What makes this series tremendous is that there are season-long sage arcs with numerous re-occuring characters that really contribute to some stout continuity between episodes. Now this isn’t continuity as you would collect on Deep Position Nine or Farscape, but continuity more in the draw of Stargate SG-1 continuity. Events or character development (mostly with the re-occuring characters) that would occur in previous episodes would be relevant in future episodes. You didn’t regain this with Xena or Herc. In fact, I really didn’t survey this with DS9.

For example, Season 1 here basically has one epic arc dealing with Dar’s long lost cherish, Kyra, who has been imprisoned by King Zad and his Terrons of which of course leads to Dar’s quest to free her. Of course there’s your filler episodes in between, but even mild they contribute in someway to the over-all arc.

The acting is better than average than your ordinary TV exhibit of this genre. Steven Grives who plays King Zad is excellently cast. One of the better TV villains in quite a while. The suited casting among the guest stars is also a plus with this series.

A effect to Herc or Xena fans, this series is actually more serious than those two. The fight scenes are a bit more graphic and realistic looking, despite the occasional wire-fu moves. And as others have said here, the spend of the animals and other guest stars at times do earn emotional. I even teared up a time or two.

Special effects are decent. CGI exercise is graceful realistic as compared to the goofy shots in Xena and Herc.

These DVD sets approach in those 6-disc amarray cases which I don’t really care for actually, but I guess they’re better than those multi-disc digipacks. Technical specs are 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen which is very nice. Image quality is top notch with the occasional grainy dim shot. Sound however is unprejudiced DD 2.0 which is a shame as this series would abet greatly with a 5.1 track. But even with that the 2.0 track is quite adequate with ambient sounds coming from the rear channels.

So in summary, if you like Xena and Herc, and want more of the same fantasy genre…don’t hesitate to dive into Beastmaster. But shop around for the best tag. ;)

I was very sceptical when I bought the first series thinking I would dislike a series based on a muscle sail Tarzan like man. I am an avid Trekkie and have watched every Star Traipse episode made, up to and including the 2nd season of Enterprise. What could I possibly gaze in a Jungle based series with no scientific implements or residence exploration.
The very first episode blew my mind with it astonishing cinematography and qualified sound effects. Once I got into the series it started to watch very similar to the recent Star prance. With Dar replacing Captain Kirk and Tao as his accurate hand man the thinker (Spok without the Vulcan ears) . They are out to search for the world and proper its wrongs. Amusingly the sourcerers even have their beget version of the “Prime Directive” which prohibits them from interfering in human affairs.
The special effects are big, the costumes are incredible and the setting absolutely spectacular.

Well, where to inaugurate?

When the seventh season of the point to had debuted the year before, everyone interested had delicately altered what had been a winning formula. The episodes became ever-so-slightly darker than in years past, but not so mighty that it would turn away sincere viewers. In hindsight, it would appear that season seven of the indicate was a trial speed of sorts – to observe whether or not fans would acquire edgier fare.

With nothing to bear the creative team benefit, and with only a surprisingly few amount of episodes to have a season (fair eight!), everyone alive to went for broke and completely revamped the eighth season of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”

Buy,Download, Or Stream Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Complete Season 8! Click Here

Well, where to initiate? Honest about everything that made the point to what it was, all the hallmarks that defined it for seven seasons, were replaced.

The iconic theme song was shed in favor of a darker, edgier track that interspersed clips of the original prove with clips from, of all things, the first live-action movie in the franchise. For the next three seasons, the series went with this music track/clip demonstrate, even when the main villains, Shredder and Krang, had been replaced by other baddies. So, really, the current track was only truly appropriate for the eighth season, when Shredder and Krang were quiet the numero uno dreadful guys on the display. Once they were replaced after the eighth season, the novel track became wildly out of site.

The goofy, fun-loving reptiles who ate pizza for three square meals a day were replaced by straight-laced action heroes who bore miniature resemblance to those who came before them. Even Michaelangelo, the biggest party animal of them all, was now sadly restrained. Fortunately, Splinter was not altered at all, which was a welcome bit of relief.

The smorgasbord of side-characters that had sprung up over the years? You know, Mondo Gecko and Mona Lisa and Usagi Yojimbo and the like? Gone. Members of the Channel 6 news team remained, although, strangely, after the season opener, Irma disappeared completely. Bebop and Rocksteady, everyone’s approved bumbling duo, oddly cleaned up their act and became more competent. Sadly, even this was not enough to keep them, as their cover time was increasingly diminished over the course of the season.

And we can’t forget about that bad “red sky” that permeated every episode of the explain for the last three seasons. Some fans are collected scratching their heads over that one.

So…where does that leave us? Well, where to inaugurate?

With only eight episodes to work with, the creative team reduce the beefy and really ran with shows that were high on action, high on position, and that dealt with season-long myth arcs, something that hadn’t been done since the show’s second year. The stories themselves also became a lot less predictable. Accustomed to seeing our heroes always keep the day, impartial stare what unfolds in the very first episode of the eighth season, “Fetch Shredder!” Suffice it to say, the awesome foursome can no longer claim they have a perfect relate.

Whether one likes the unusual format really has to do with individual tastes. Looking succor, there were pros and cons to both formats of the indicate – there were pleasurable and dreadful things about the first seven seasons, and the same goes for the last three seasons. However, if you’ve picked up every other DVD release that has preceded this one, I would level-headed recommend purchasing this DVD as well.

I loved the Red Sky seasons. For those who don’t know the weak turtles series switched over to a darker tone for seasons 8-10. All the episodes took state at night and featured a red sky, hence the nickname. The note focused more on character development and myth arcs again. It got heavily criticized by many fans for benching major players like Krang and Shredder in favor of aliens such as Lord Dregg. This season however features Shredder and Krang as main villains as well as some current equally moving ones.

It’s only 8 episodes but everyone of them is estimable. There’s a psycho who built the Technodrome out for revenge on Krang, a mutant gang lead by Titanus, a failed government experiment named Megavolt, and even the Rat King comes relieve. One of my favorites is “Cyber Turtles” featuring the turtles wearing the Cyber armor from the Playmates toyline. They were also in the Archie funny book series and unlike most toy endorsements this was a stout one. The Archie issues were some of the best in the series and the episode is actually ravishing righteous.

I highly recommend this to turtles fans and passe cartoon fans in general. If you ever complained the old-fashioned turles are fair random with no memoir arcs then check this season out, it will change your mind I deem.

Finally4
After much research, this is one of the only economically priced surround-sound amps that decodes the surround-sound information in the amp itself before passing video on up to the TV. Many of the HDMI switching amps out there only switch the video, and do NOT decode surround (due to the DRM encryption on some HDMI signals) only 2ch PCM.

Look over Sony’s site, they have alot of good info for this unit. For the price it would be really hard to beat.

Nice Stuff:
-Surround decode from the HDMI sources
-The remote also controls my Sony Blu-ray player
-The Main L-R speaker outs are selectable to use either full range speakers, or small surround speakers
-You can Name all the inputs whatever you want
-For a small home theater, sound quality is good
-auto shut off after 30mins of inactivity

Not so nice stuff
-Only three (3) HDMI inputs, i could have used more for later, but for now all I needed was my DishNetwork box, Xbox and blu-ray
-Only one of the three digital audio inputs (2 optical, 1 coax) is programmable to any input. This would have been nice to be able to assign any of them to the remaining analog video inputs
-Analog video inputs (Wii in my case) do not go out the HDMI output. While I didn’t expect this, it would have been a nice touch. As it is I have to change my TV’s input to play Wii. This is no biggie, but it would have been nice!

In summary, this is a great replacement amp if you already had an older surround unit, or if you want to pick and chose your speakers. Like I said, it’s nice that it has a built in selectable crossover for the main L-R speakers.

My last Sony amplifier has lasted nearly 8 years. The only reason for me to replace it was to make switching video sources easier.
There, this is my 2¢ on the matter

Awesome5
Fantastic reciever, especially for “The Money”. I bought this for my son’s room, thinking it would be “OK”…but turned out to be much beter than I had expected. Great sound, power, and features. Glad I found it, and very glad I bought it. Went out and bought a new more substantial subwoofer to take advantage of the reciever’s ability.

wow how easy to connect5
this has to be the easy reciever i have connected in 40 years. then the sound, wow again, clean and clear with plenty of headroom. and the price at amazon was wow again. this is the product i was looking for Exactly.

For good Tiger fans this is the ultimate collection, especially since Tiger Woods has been very private about his personal life. In this station he talks about his family and his thoughts and feelings during his childhood and teen years and also shows the fun side of his personality which we rarely leer on the golf course. The interviews are a very vital section of this collection and the bonus features are the icing on the cake, but if you are mostly keen in loyal golf footage, then grasp the DVDs of his major wins, but if you want to scrutinize the personal side of Tiger this is the Collection to have.

Really disappointed in this region. Far too considerable fluff and not enough substance here. Was looking forward to the clinic, but there was nothing there of exception. You can catch most of this footage on the Channel. My advice? If you must gaze this: Rent don’t take. Not worth $50, and probably not worth half as noteworthy obsolete.

Am I the only person who knows what episodes are on this DVD. All the reviews I have read doesn’t mention the episode that are on this volume. Well I guess I will have to give them. Below are the episodes of this volume: 1) “Where Is Everybody? ” (Episode 1- Oct. 2, 1959) 2) “The Stare Of The Beholder” (Episode 42- Nov. 11, 1960) 3) “A World Of His Occupy” (Episode 36- July 1, 1960) 4) “A Thing About Machines” (Episode 40- Oct. 28, 1960) Those are the episodes in this volume. This is a grand volume of the Twilight Zone. It is so tall that we should at least let people know what episodes are on this volume.

Volume 43 in the series of TWILIGHT ZONE DVDs presents two classic episodes and two relative rarities from the series. The first classic is the pilot episode, “Where Is Everybody? ” This thirty-minute near-monodrama stars Earl Holliman as a man who inexplicably finds himself in a deserted town. Who the man is and how he came to be in the town appropriately remains a mystery until the episode’s final scene. “The Survey of the Beholder,” a classic from the ZONE’s second season, was quite controversial when first shown. It is the anecdote of a woman, Janet Tyler, who was born with a “deformed” face and is undergoing plastic surgery to do her face stare “normal.” The episode takes location in a dimly lit hospital, and Janet’s face, as well as the faces of the doctors and nurses attending her, is not seen until the episode’s last moments – which are some of the most repulsive and thrilling in ZONE history.

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Twilight Zone, Vol. 43! Click Here

Both of the classic episodes were written by Rod Serling, as was “A Thing about Machines,” a timely (if somewhat funny) yarn about a man (Richard Hayden) who comes to a abominable slay due to his awe of technology. Richard Matheson’s “A World of His Bear,” one of the ZONE’s few comedies, is a exquisite gem starring Keenan Wynn as Gregory West, a mild-mannered playwright who brings his characters to life by describing them into a Dictaphone. In the ruin, the playwright is granted well-deserved happiness with one of his creations.

The reason I give this generally magnificent disc four stars only is this: I feel that the presentation of “Where Is Everybody? ” is marred by its introductory and ending narrations, which are given by an announcer who is not Serling. Every ZONE fan knows and loves Serling’s spoken narrations for the episodes: his renowned opening ones (”There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man…”; “You’re traveling through another dimension…”; “You unlock this door with the key of imagination…”) and his creative closing ones (”Where Is Everybody”’s begins, “Up there, up there in the vastness of station”) . The narrations are not the same without Serling’s affirm – its sound and its memorable, clipped delivery. There were, in fact, two versions of “Where Is Everybody? ” It is the first version, which was shown only to the series’ prospective sponsors, that is presented here. The man who read the narrations originally was…well, impartial not Serling. This version also has dialogue in the first scene that was edited for the better-known second version – the one seen by the general viewing public. It is debatable which version of the script is better. But if you want to hear Serling teach his hold narrations, I would suggest buying – or at least viewing – the second version of the pilot, available on the DVD “Treasures from THE TWILIGHT ZONE.”

We checked these out from the library before lustrous anything about the shows at all. We don’t examine network tv so we’re a bit out of the tv loop. As soon as we watched the first episode my 6 and 4 year conventional and I were all bent. We hadn’t even finished the first dvd and I was on Amazon ordering both dvd’s, Dragon Tales and Dragon rules. They are obedient in language and storytelling. The art is original but manages to transport the viewer relieve to worn times with a magical “veteran” feel. The stories are sweet and the characters are all lovable. The angst in each episode is short-lived and always works out in the extinguish. 4 year olds, 6 year olds and apparently even 41 years weak like that! Fantastic dvds. We’ve watched them over and over again.

After watching this children’s program on television, and finding it knowing and not condecending, I decided to send it to my granddaughter. I am an artist and I was paricularly fascinated by the animation style. My son has always loved dragons so I plan his dinky daughter might appreciate watching this myth with her Dad. It also gives her some variety from the numerous Japanese anime shows and the newer fad characters. She enjoyed the first Jane and the Dragon CD that I sent and has continued her enjoyment with this second episode.
